CORRESPONDENCE COURSE:

Hey! Get a Job!

We know that teens need job skills, but what does that mean?  Discover what today’s employers expect our kids to know before they enter the workforce for the first time.  This course also covers what kids already know about getting and keeping a job, as well as the things they don’t know and aren’t asking about.  In a struggling economy, teens can’t afford to learn job skills through trial and error.  This course will require participants to see job skills from three perspectives: a teacher of adolescents, a teen looking for their first work experience, and an employer who needs skilled employees.  Teachers will end the course with ideas and materials to take into the classroom.
